Old botanical garden in Göttingen

A journey into strange, “green” worlds

The Göttingen Botanical Garden looks back on a long history. Albrecht von Haller founded the “Hortus Medicus” as early as 1736.

More than 12,000 plant species can be admired here in the open air and in the many greenhouses. Let yourself be enchanted by the beautiful plants from all over the world and be transported to other worlds, while at the same time learning many new things.

The historic greenhouses, the large pond and the Alpinum are particularly worth seeing.
